The Case for Optimism

Filed under: Retirement - General — Bob @ 8:20 am

I try to be optimistic, as least forĀ  the long term, even if some parts of the short term don’t look good. There’s an awful lot of gloominess out there these days. That’s why I’m linking to this brief post by Barry Ritholtz. He gives a quick summary of the case for optimism, the key point being that most of the problems people refer to are almost always present. They and others tend to be transitory. The only time they were serious was in 2008 and 2009, when government officials took their eyes off the ball.
